In July 2018 Haute Pursuit had the pleasure of organising a company team building weekend for UK based Platinum Property Partners.
The corporate trip was the idea of group financial director and part-time Chamonix valley resident, Richard Davies. Being such a fan of the Chamonix valley and all it has to offer, Richard wanted his colleagues to experience as much as possible during their time in the valley so Haute Pursuit was tasked with organising an action-packed team building weekend.
The first day started with a group yoga class to get everyone mentally relaxed and in the moment for the weekend ahead. All thirty-five people on the trip managed to get out of bed and to the yoga class for 07.00am, very impressive indeed. With such a big number it was decided to hold the class outdoors at the athletics track in the centre of Chamonix and the sun came out (and the rain held off) for the occasion.
For the rest of the first day the group participated in our GPS city explorer treasure hunt with the added experience of a wine and cheese tasting, sampling local cheeses and regional wines.
The day was then rounded off with a BBQ and a accompanying DJ, playing relaxed summer vibes on the terrace of the group's hotel, The Pointe Isabelle, right in the heart of the action in the town centre.
The second day was all about ice and water. The group had the option to either take the Montenvers rack and pinion train up to the Mer de Glace and visit the ice caves and get a feel for the immense power of glaciers, or they could opt for an adrenalin fuelled trip down the fast flowing glacial melt water of the Arve river on a rafting trip. The day was concluded with a celebration dinner in a savoyard restaurant that was booked for the exclusive use of the group.
The third and final day started with an early morning yoga class for anyone that wanted to attend, and surprisingly even after a late night taking in the Chamonix nightlife, around half of the group managed to make the class. The rest of the morning was free for the group to explore the town centre, buy souvenirs or relax and take in the stunning mountain scenery before departing early afternoon for the return flight back to the UK.
