When you think of an Alpine mountain town, Chamonix Mont Blanc is sure to come to mind with its long history associated with skiing and mountain sports dating back to the first ever Winter Olympics in 1924. Chamonix offers so much more than lots of other ski resorts, in that it is a mountain town with a busy tourism industry all year round, and it has access to no less than five ski areas within the valley, all within easy access by public transport or taxi ski transfer.
With such a reputation for alpinism and steep skiing, there is a definite buzz in the town during the winter months, as locals and tourists alike swap stories of their day's adventures in the high mountains. The Chamonix ski areas still offer skiing for all abilities and if you want to experience one of the most iconic ski itineraries in the World, we can certainly organise guiding services to get the most out of a day spent descending the famous Vallée Blanche.
Chamonix has something for every budget from luxurious five star hotels, to more budget orientated lodgings and catered chalets if that is more your scene. Dinners out can be a fine-dining experience, or a more traditional Savoyard menu of fondue and raclette.
