SALES INCENTIVE AND CLIENT ENTERTAINING

The London office of The Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Corporation, better known as HSBC, got in touch with us as they wanted to show their appreciation to their biggest sellers and key clients, by organising an incentive travel trip somewhere that was steeped in history and felt like a journey back in time, was a mix of different cultures and yet within easy reach of mainland Europe. As the trip was to be planned out of holiday season, it needed to be a place that was still warm, and offered plenty of opportunity for a road trip or two to take in the landscapes and history. This sounds like a very tall order!

Haute Pursuit's solution:

A short three hour flight from London to Marrakech, Morocco, a city and country steeped in history and culture

A day and night soaking up the charm of Marrakech, its markets, monuments, alleyways and local cuisine

Road trip to the Atlas Mountains to take in the sights and sounds of traditional Moroccan life in a Kasbah

One night under the stars in the desert experiencing the traditional Berber way of life

Overview of the weekend

Thursday
Morning transfer to Hotel in the Medina of Marrakech
Cultural and historical tour of Marrakech
Traditional multi-course dinner set in a Berber tent with entertainment from belly dancers and acrobats all set to traditional folk music

Friday
Depart by 4x4 vehicle, heading through Tizi-n-Tichka (2,260m) high in the Atlas Mountains to The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.
Relaxing lunch at the Kasbah then transfer to Kasbah Amredhyle before visiting the Dades Gorge and Kelaa (The Valley of Roses)

Dinner at the hotel with live entertainment

Saturday
Visit to Tinghir and Todra Gorges, to take in the impressive scenery followed by lunch in the traditional Berber town of Tinjdad
Afternoon tour of the Erfoud marble and fossil production workshops before swapping the 4x4s for camels to ride into the dunes
Dinner and a night camping under the stars in a traditional Berber tent in the great dunes of Erg Chebbi

Sunday

Morning of relaxation with a lunchtime transfer to the airport and flights back to the UK
