Kandahar Mens Skiing World Cup in Chamonix
Despite the cold weather the crowds still turned out in Les Houches to watch The Kandahar Mens Skiing World Cup. Haute Pursuit had exclusive passes to transport guests directly to the viewing area at the finish line and Monica our Chief Wedding Planner did the commentary in English throughout the event.
The event started on Friday with the final day of the Val Gardena Downhill Race which had to be postponed in December due to weather conditions. With two French skiers at the top of the leaderboard when the race was postponed followers were eagerly awaiting the final day.
Saturday saw an extremely close race with the Canadian Team taking 1st and 3rd position and Austrian team taking 2nd. The final day was the Super-combined Slalom and Downhill with Austria, France and Switzerland taking 1st 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
The fun continued into the evening throughout the weekend with the Award Ceremonies, live music and fireworks.
